Everyone is expecting me to say “iPhones rule” but that is not the objective answer.
Design
Pixel copied the iPhone design here. They have almost identical designs on the front and back. However, iPhone has a home button and the Pixel has a virtual home button.

While the Pixel has the “highest rated camera”, the iPhone 7+ was never recorded and it has been found the iPhone 7+ camera is the best there is.
Customer support
Starting with the Pixel, Google guaranteed to have 24/7 Pixel support. This is something Apple has always offered. The phones are roughly the same here.
OS
This is what it comes down to. If you prefer the simplicity and ecosystem of iOS, chose the iPhone 7+. If you like the freedom and customizability of Android, chose the Pixel XL.
In the end, the design, customer support, and build quality are very similar. The iPhone 7+ has a better camera but it ultimately comes down to operating system preference.
